There are 151 facilities within the Arsenal complex. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I dealt with the topic of remodeling of the Arsenal protected zone as a part of research for magister thesis, with a series of lectures held through the Serbian Chamber of Engineers, on which occasion I wrote a book with international examples of approaches to the renewal of such zones, which was awarded at the 2016 Salon of Urbanism http:\/\/www.uus.org.rs\/uploads\/37241\/documents\/25_Salon_Izve%C5%A1taj_%C5%BEirija.pdf<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Modern approaches to solving the problem of urban renewal require the necessary steps for making important decisions for both investors and urban planners, who without previous Reconstruction Assessment Studies (Studio Rudnik made research Study for Arsenal) may not be able to adequately approach planning, which would meet all necessary interests equal public ( the state and the city of Kragujevac) as well as the interest of the companies and investment funds that are willing to invest in the city of Kragujevac. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The location of the Knezev Arsenal in Kragujevac as natural extension of Milosev Venac protected area needs a physical connection between those two part of the embankment of the river Lepenica which was resolved with ” Reconciliation Bridge ” as a part of historically needed process of reconciliation of the two Serbian Royal dynasties Kara\u0111or\u0111evi\u0107 and Obrenovi\u0107 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A special part of renewal was proposal for one of the main building at the Knezev Arsenal called Machinery room that needs a deep research before making any proposal because the fact is that those buildings was not present in that form at the site and the Institute for the protection of immovable heritage put the newest transformed version that is present now as official protected building at the Serbia’s heritage list. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
